Upcoming Orientation with our Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS)

Settlement Worker in Schools

The Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) program provides settlement support and services for immigrants, refugees and newcomers.  As a Settlement Worker, the primary role is to provide comprehensive settlement services tailored to the needs of newcomer families. This includes offering valuable information about the school system, helping you navigate your child’s educational journey, and connecting you with essential community resources available in Richmond.

The upcoming Settlement Services Orientation, which will be held at the School Board office and Cambie Community Centre. This orientation will provide a comprehensive overview of the settlement services available to you, and it will be an excellent opportunity to connect with various community resources. We believe this session will be incredibly beneficial for new families and those who want to deepen their understanding of the support available within the Richmond School District.
