At our first staff meeting we talked about the importance of building community.  Engaged learnerd feel that they belong.  In the first weeks of school, our teachers will lead students through activities that build trusting relationships between teacher and student and amongst the students.  It is especially important for our new students to feel a sense of belonging and inclusion.  At McNeely, we are committed ensuring that every learner feels safe to take risks, make mistakes, and gain resilience.
