This week, we had our Welcome Back BBQ and Meet the Teacher evening.  It is one of our favourite events of the year because we get to connect with families in an informal setting, share food, meet siblings older and younger, and enjoy a sense of community.  This year we counted 114 families out of 213.  While we celebrated the fact that just over half of our folks were able to attend, we are wondering what we can do to encourage even more families to come.  We believe that school connectedness is a strong indicator of student success.  Stay tuned to hear about our ideas, and parents, please feel welcome to contribute to the conversation.
