This year, instead of having Tea and Talk for parents during the school day, we decided to have a Coffee Club for adults in our foyer on Fridays.  We purchased some nice patio furniture on sale, and started with one pot of coffee during the students' Breakfast Club, 8:00 - 8:30 am.  By the second week, we needed two posts of coffee.  This week will be the third week and we plan to make an urn!  We think that the informal invitation, the welcoming environment and that fact that the parents come with the students, is making this initiatvie a successful one.

As well, students us the seating area before and after school, keeping the office more business-oriented, and they love this space for reading time.
