Our big idea was reintroducing families to staff and the school.

We started with having our "Meet the Teacher BBQ". It was a great way for everyone to reconnect. Our gym was filled with families who had just met their children's teachers. Staff were helping to serve the barbequed food and there was a great atmosphere. 350 people attended the BBQ. 

Another thing that we did as it had been more than two years since parents were in the building Is that we created a large "map" of the school in the foyer with photos of all staff members and where the rooms they work in are located. This helped families to get to know where classes were and learn the names and faces of staff members that they may not have met during the pandemic.
