We continue to build connection within our school community. Different events where we come together with a shared purpose and to celebrate learning have strengthened the connections between classes, between grades, amongst students, amongst staff, and between the school and parent community.
The enthusiastic response from our families for our Family Literacy Day initiative demonstrates how much our parent community values literacy and our Library program. As we transition into a School Learning Story focus of Literacy, we will continue to engage our parent community for their continued support with our Literacy initiatives.

During our Grade 6 student Focus Group for Strategic Plan input, our students shared that they've noticed a shift in student dynamics and that overall, students are kinder to each other and more respectful. Our student participants also shared their connections with staff and that they feel supported and cared for by the adults at McNeely.
